Generate social images

The idea of this note was to use an online image service to automate the process of using a design template to generate a page-specific social image that could contain the page’s title or feature image.

Cloudinary or the recent Vercel’s OG Image Generation may be useful for such task.

To show the image properly on social media can follow the Open Graph protocol specification and Twitter Cards guideline, the social image URL needs to be added using the meta markup in HEAD section of the page.
